Coffee and Exercise Reduce Risk of Skin Cancer

More recently, studies have shown that combining coffee drinking habits with exercise can help prevent skin cancer.

In the pilot study revealed that combining coffee and exercise can reduce the risk of skin cancer in mice by 62 percent.

"We found the combination of coffee and exercise can reduce the formation of skin cancer in mice caused by sunlight," explained lead researcher Dr Yao-Ping Lu of Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in New Jersey, USA, quoted by Dailymail, Wednesday (4/4).

Using mice, researchers began by dividing it into three groups. The first group received only the dose of caffeine, exercise is only the second group (rats ran on the steering wheel) and a third group combining between caffeine and exercise. Observations made during the 14 weeks.

Mice given caffeine treatment decreased by 27 percent the number of tumors than mice that did not get any treatment and the size of the cancer to 61 percent smaller.
While mice are only doing sports activities decreased approximately 35 percent of tumors and tumor volume by 70 percent.

While mice that have succeeded in merging caffeine and exercise lowers the risk of melanoma (skin cancer) up to 62 percent and the size of the tumor shrank by 85 percent compared to mice that received only a sport or a dose of caffeine. In addition, combining this powerful weight loss of up to 63 percent of rats in mice fed a high fat diet.

Dr. Lu is also believed that the incorporation of coffee and exercise can reduce inflammation.
Coffee makes mice (and humans) tend to exercise longer and harder. As a result, they are given this combined treatment, the inflammation in the tumor and the cancer has decreased to 92 percent. Spend a lot of fat tissue inflammatory chemicals, so the less fat will result in reduced inflammation.Inflammation is associated with an increased risk of skin cancer.
